The Kay Mason Foundation is a great charity that helps people to reach their full potential no matter what their circumstances. They work with families, educators, and scholars to ensure that disadvantaged children receive the education they deserve.
We fully support this charity and think the work of the Kay Mason Foundation is important and inspirational. We developed this site for the charity pro bono to show our support.
The Kay Mason Foundation was set up by Richard Mason after the success of his novel The Drowning People in 1999. His strong beliefs in education lead him to privately sponsor the high school education of four students who have now gone on to university.
The success of these students inspired Richard to set up the Kay Mason Foundation using the royalties from his books, transforming the lives of children over the years. The foundation currently supports 60 incredible children across nine of South Africa’s best schools. They continue their support by regularly visiting their scholars at home, monitoring their family's changing situations, and adjusting their level of support.
